Incoming inspections:

Receiving laser sources which are not operating at the correct wavelength can be a frustrating, not to mention expensive, problem. The WM4200 Wavelength Meter makes incoming inspection easy. Simply aim the laser under test into the sensor head, or plug a fiber pigtail into the wavelength meter's fiber socket, and the wavelength is displayed. When used with our FREE software and your computer, the WM4200 will log time, date, wavelength, relative power and up to 40 characters at the touch of a button. This provides accurate, tamper free logging of laser or LED parameters. The WM4200 can become a fully integrated part of any Quality Assurance or ISO 9000 quality system.

Easy to use:

We have designed this to be the easiest benchtop instrument you will ever use. The only controls on the unit are the on/off and band select switches. The user simply aims collimated light into the sensor head, or provides light in up to a 600 µm core fiber to the unit, and it will instantly display the wavelength.

Laser diode characterization:

Anyone working with laser diodes must have a wavelength meter. Laser diodes can vary over a broad range of wavelengths. Even diodes pre-selected for wavelength characteristics exhibit significant wavelength shifts with operating current and temperature. The only way, to make sure you know where your diode is operating, is to test it.

Wavelength Averaging:

The unique design of this unit automatically provides the centroid of a broadband or multi line source. It is perfect for determining color temperature or chromaticity measurements on intense sources. When used with a multimode laser, it will display the weighted average of the lines present.

Multiline/Tunable Lasers:

Take the guesswork out of selecting a laser line. Sample a small amount of light with a beamsplitter and the WM4200 can provide continuous monitoring of a laser's wavelength, warning of those unexpected thermally induced

RS-232 Compatible:

Includes software package for data logging & computer control. Source code provided in Q Basic to allow easy use in your own application.
