After installing the Module to the Printed Circuit Board :
1.Connect Power to Printed Circuit Board connections as shown. 2.Connect Laser Diode . Very Important!!! Observe polarity of diode. 3.Connect PhotoDiode . Very Important!!! Observe polarity of diode. 4.Connect Keylock Safety device. (Not supplied) 5.Connect Interlock Safety device. ( Not supplied) 6.Set Range- Leave disconnected for Power mode Operation. Leave open for Low Current Range in Current mode. Jumper to LD sense pin (right above) for High Current Range in Current mode. 7. Adjust the (3) trimpots for appropriate settings as desired , observing the maximum values for the Laser diode that is being used. Test points (TP) are provided for each individual setting. See drawing for correspondence. Use the Test point (TP) located in Input Power section (1) for meter ground. 8.Feedback pin . Must be connected to either PD sense pin (above) for Power mode operation or LD sense pin (below) for Current mode operation. 9.On/Off switch This is the third stage of the module’s turn on section. The Keylock circuit must be closed, the Interlock circuit must be closed and only then, the ON/Off switch becomes functional. When activated a 5 second delay timer will engage. Immediately afterwards Laser Emission will occur !!! To stop the diode disengage any or all of the safety devices. For any questions regarding the LD8x00 modules click here. The circuit board is shipped with (4) rubber feet to suspend it from a table top. Located under the feet are mounting holes which can be used when a permanent installation is required. Also (4) mounting holes are provided if the module needs to be permanently secured to the printed circuit board. Use 4-40 screws and hex nuts as needed.
